Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the recall of 2014 Mercedes-Benz G-Class, due to defect of horn and backlight base and to reprograming the driver's seat and fuse box computer.
The Ministry said that the move which was done in collaboration with Nasser Bin Khaled Automobiles company - the agent of Mercedes-Benz's cars - comes within the framework of the Ministry's continuous coordination and follow-up to ascertain the commitment of car dealerships to follow up and fix vehicle defects in order to protect the rights of consumers.
The ministry said it will coordinate with the agent to follow up the maintenance and repair of the defect, and will communicate with customers to ensure the implementation of the procedures and the repair of defect in the cars.
The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has urged all customers to report any violations to the Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department which receives complains and suggestions through its communication channels.
