DOHA: El Jaish defeated Al Rayyan 84-72 in the third and deciding match of the best-of-three semi-final series of the Emir Basketball Cup at Al Gharafa SC Indoor Stadium on Sunday.
Yesterday’s win helped El Jaish qualify for the final where they will take on Al Gharafa
Downey Devan Deangelo, with 26 points top scored for El Jaish.
Taggart Shawn Larell (25) and Nathaniel Johnson (15) made curcial contributions for El Jaish victory.
Earlier on Sunday, El Jaish had registered a narrow 84-82 victory over Al Rayyan in the second match of the semi-final series.
On other hand, Al Gharafa booked their place in the final round, following their convincing 99-79 win over Al Sadd in their second match of the best-of-three series on Sunday.
The final will be held at Al Gharafa Indoor Stadium on April 25.The Peninsula
