DOHA: In an attempt to prevent and early diagnose different types of cancers, a new campaign has been launched to raise awareness about the disease.
‘Think Right ...Think of Your Health’, project has been launched by the Qatar Cancer Society with the support of Social and Sport Contribution Fund – ‘Daam’, officials said yesterday.
The partnership between Qatar Cancer Society and Daam will help implementing the project for one and half years.
Dr Sheikh Khaled bin Jabor Al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society, and Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Latif Al Mannai, Vice-Executive Manager of Daam, yesterday signed an agreement and announced the partnership during a press conference.
“We are thankful to Daam for the partnership which will fund the awareness campaign. Although the ‘Think Right ...Think of Your Health’, project is for one and half years, the partnership will be a long lasting one,” said Dr Al Thani.
“The campaign will focus on all types of cancers, and circulate a 30-second video with educational messages on television and social media,” he added.
