Twelve cricket teams to compete in U-19 Schools Tournament in Qatar

DOHA: Twelves teams will take part in the Qatar Under-19 Schools Cricket Tournament, organised under the aegis of the Qatar Cricket Association (QCA) with the cooperation from the Asian Cricket Council.

QCA General Secretary Mr Manzoor Ahmad said: “We’re very happy with so many schools are figuring in this competition. This tournament aims at promoting the game in Qatar and cementing the foundation of cricket at the grass-root level.”

 “We hope to see some hotly-contested matches as all the teams have done their preparations well,” he said in a QCA release.  

 Ahmad also expressed his gratitude to the principals and sports teachers of the participating schools. 

The tournament will conclude on November 17.

 The twelve teams to compete in the competition are: MES Indian School, The Cambridge School, Birla Public School, Doha Modern Indian School (DMIS), Pakistan Education Center, DPS Modern Indian School, Doha College, Bangladesh MHM School andCollege, Pak Shamaa School andCollege, Dukhan English Speaking School, Bright Future Pakistani International School and Al Khor International School.
