DOHA: A zebra at the Doha Zoo has given birth, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment has said.
The zoo is undergoing major renovation works and the animals have been shifted to other places, including the newly-opened Al Khor Park.
The zebra and its offspring have been shifted to Al Khor Park.
The ministry has posted a picture of the zebra and its baby on its official Facebook account, along with news about the birth.
This species of zebra has a 370-day pregnancy period and can give birth every 12 months. Zebra has a unique pattern of black and white stripes, and primarily eat a variety of grasses.The Peninsula
