Al Gharafa beat Al Shamal to reach final as El Jaish edge Al Rayyan

Action from El Jaish’s win over Al Rayyan at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall yesterday. El Jaish won 79-78.

 

DOHA: Massey Jeremiah Timotheus’s 29 points and a spectacular tally of 21 by Galloway Kevin Dwayne helped Al Gharafa to reach the final of the Qatar Cup with an easy win over Al Shamal. 
Al Gharafa beat Al Shamal 84-65, thanks to the dominant displays from Jeremiah and Dwayne. 
Ndoye Hassino chipped in with 16 points as Al Gharafa maintained their stranglehold over their opponents at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall. 
Jeremiah managed 3 assists while Dwayne produced 5 assists in Al Gharafa’s win. Hassino also managed 3 assists. 
Saad Abdulrahman Mohamed and Salem Omar Abdelkader managed a tally of 8 points each in the Al Gharafa’s big win. 
For Al Shamal, Ambres Mildon scored 26 points while team-mate Hachad Mohamed Kamal sparkled with 18 points. 
Kamal had 8 assists also. Kosar Abdulqadir scored 9 points while Avdic Faris and Adam Khalid Abdalla managed 4 points each. 
In the second game of the evening, El Jaish pipped Al Rayyan 79-78. Although Davon James Dominic managed a monumental tally of 43 points but it was El Jaish who prevailed with gutsy late fight. 
Bell Rashad Ernest scored 22 points for El Jaish while team-mate Macklin Vernon Leon chipped in with 16 points. Ali Ali Turki (15) and Mohmmed Yousuf (12) also reached double figures for El Jaish in the tense clash. Abilmona Fadi Hani scored just 5 points but managed an astonishing tally of 16 assists. 
For Al Rayyan, Dominic also sparkled with 8 assists in the tense loss. 
Hill Lawrence scored 19 points while experienced Yasseen Musa scored 15 points. 
The teams clash for a place in the final on March 26 for the return game. 
The final of Qatar Cup will be played on March 29.
