Doha: Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) stated that there will be a significant rise in temperature on Friday and Saturday with the maximum temperature reaching the beginning of forty degrees in some areas especially in central and southern parts of the country.
According to QMD, the rise in temperature is due to the continuous blowing of southeasterly to southwesterly wind at moderate to fresh at times inshore and will be strong offshore.
On Sunday, the wind will blow northwesterly at 15-25 KT gusting to 35 KT at places at times which leads to blowing dust. Low visibility to less than 3km especially in open areas and external roads is also expected. The wave heights will also rise to more than 10 ft offshore.
QMD also stated that temperature will dip from Sunday evening until Tuesday night with the weather forecasted to be mild to relatively hot during daytime and cold at night.
The Department urges all citizens and residents to take extra precaution during this warning period.
