Apart from these, there is also a chance for you to taste and shop for some high-quality dates from local farms in Qatar currently displayed at Souq Waqif.

Local Dates Festival


Until August 3, 2024
4pm to 9pm (Friday until 10pm)  
Eastern Yard, Souq Waqif

Get a chance to taste and purchase some of the high quality fresh dates at the Souq Waqif where about 110 local farms are exhibiting their produce for visitors. Apart from dates and date products, seasonal fruits such as almonds and figs will be on display as well. Read more here

Looking to shop for accessories, then head to DECC where perfumes, accessories, decor items, shoes, carpets, food products, abaya and other daily needs products from more than 15 countries are on display.

Qatar Toy Festival

This year’s Qatar Toy Festival is more exciting than ever, with three new zones to explore and over 20 new brands to discover with your friends and family! From the Family Zone, Food & Beverage Zone, the new Anime Land, to the new Movie Land, you will never run out of activities to do. Your kids can even meet their favorite characters from Barbie, Miraculous Ladybug, LOL, and more through the festival’s daily stage shows. 

It's going to be a day filled with fun adventures! Tickets can be purchased online at Q-Tickets.com, virginmegastore.com, or in person at the venue. Prices range from QR50 for general entrance to QR1,500 for VVIP tickets. 

Lab Legends Science Show

Discovery of black gold in Qatar

On July 27

National Museum of QatarNational Museum of Qatar is organising a guided tour in English and Arabic to help visitors aged 16 and above learn about Qatar's historical legacy. It talks about the turning point in history when oil was discovered and the unprecedented development between 1970s and 2000s. Register here

SkillFest by Visit Qatar

Participate in various workshops and exhibitions during Visit Qatar’s SkillFest programme at four different locations. The first event of its kind in Qatar, SkillFest highlights local and sustainable arts and crafts, inspired by the country's marine environment. Visitors will learn more about Qatar’s environmental and cultural heritage and can partake in different hands-on arts and crafts workshops like calligraphy, cake decoration, embroidery, palm weaving, and more! 

Vacation in Msheireb

Join in on the summer vacation activities at Msheireb Galleria where visitors can explore fun activities and lots of entertainment zones for all ages. These activities include the Play Zone where kids can play in a safe environment, the Treasure Hunt Zone for kids 10 years above to solve puzzles, the Skillfest Zone that features exhibitions and workshops, and the Food Zone! Starting July 18, the Msheireb Galleria will also feature the Arcade Zone, which will include a giant immersive maze with retro and modern games, and on August 1, the Splash Zone will also open!
