Doha: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has issued a weather forecast for the weekend, predicting very hot conditions during the daytime. Tomorrow (July 26) and Saturday (July 27) are expected to be particularly sweltering.
Friday brings another scorching day with temperatures soaring up to 48°C, with a minimum of 35°C. QMD said it will be a very hot daytime with some clouds at times.
Saturday's temperatures will range from 36°C to 46°C across most parts of Qatar.
Friday will experience moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds inshore at 4 to 14 knots, gusting to 22 knots at certain places. The sea wave is between 2 and 6 feet high.
Saturday will bring fresh southwesterly to northwesterly winds, with a warning for strong winds and high seas, as waves are expected to reach heights between 4 and 8 feet.
Today (July 25), maximum temperatures of 47°C were recorded in Mesaimeer, Qatar University, and Messaieed, according to QMD data.
