Doha: Assistant Foreign Minister and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visits Afghan evacuees in Qatar.

In reply to a tweet by Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai expressing her gratitude to Qatar government, HE Lolwah Rashid Al-Khater replied that she was happy to speak with Malala about their plans on helping refugees from Afghanistan.

The minister also expressed her happiness on meeting the Afghan citizens who arrived in Qatar. "Thank you dear @Malala, I was happy when we spoke to plan how we can help our bothers & sisters in #Afghanistan, even happier when they arrived in Qatar and I was deeply grateful to meet them this afternoon. They all said hello and spoke very highly of you " stated Al Khater in her tweet.

Qatar is working continuously with its international partners to evacuate Afghan civilians, citizens of friendly countries and journalists from Afghan territory by providing safe passage to reach the airport and then transferring them to Doha through special flights organised by the country.
