Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Qatar, organised an artistic show entitled “The Rhythm of Korea.”
At the Katara Opera House, an audience of different nationalities attended the show amid a total commitment to the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar H E Joon Ho Lee, delivered a speech at the opening of the ceremony, praising the strong relations between Qatar and Korea.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea hailed the cooperation with Katara to inform the diverse audience of the rich and diverse Korean culture through various artistic and cultural activities and events that would enhance the rapprochement between cultures and peoples.
The show featured several amazing exhibition paintings that combined music with performances, as well as a taekwondo show, which are part of Korea’s cultural and folklore heritage and considered one of Korea’s national sports.
Katara has organised a number of cultural and artistic events in cooperation with the Korean Embassy on many occasions, including artistic performances and concerts, including the “Korean Cultural Week” which is an evening for Korean street music, and an evening of the wonderful voices of Korea presented by the famous Korean fusion Band Queen and others.
