Doha, Qatar: World-renowned chef Alain Ducasse had a two-day visit to Doha which saw him dine at both IDAM by Alain Ducasse at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), and Jiwan at the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), to celebrate their respective wins in the inaugural Michelin Guide Doha 2025.
IDAM, honoured with a Michelin Star as well as a Special Award for mixologist Ratan Robi, continues to set the standard for contemporary French gastronomy in the region, while Jiwan’s innovative modern take on Middle Eastern cuisine is recognised with a Bib Gourmand.

Head Chef Morgan Perrigaud reflected, “Having the opportunity to refine dishes with Chef Ducasse is an extraordinary privilege we don’t take for granted.”

A gala dinner was held at IDAM in honour of Chef Ducasses’s visit, attended by distinguished guests led by H E Jean-Baptiste Faivre, French Ambassador to Qatar. At Jiwan, a special lunch with Ducasse offered guests a rare opportunity to meet with the Chef and indulge in a curated tasting menu highlighting the restaurant’s unique fusion of local and regional influences.
