In a press statement, the Director of Student Evaluation Department, Khalifa Saad Al Derham, said that the results of the end of the first semester of the general secondary certificate for the academic year 2019-20 were good. He pointed out that many students have achieved full marks in several subjects, while others have achieved full marks in all subjects and the total.
Al Derham said that the total scores for the end of the first semester represent 40 percent of the final grade for secondary school students, as the end-year tests represent 60 percent.
The director of the student evaluation department called on students, who did not achieve good grades during the tests of the end of the first semester, to strive during the second semester, and make an effort to achieve success and excellence, and strive towards excellence in the tests of the end of the second semester, especially since the second semester represents 60 percent of the total score, which gives all students a greater chance to be compensated and achieve academic excellence.
He noted that ‘the control’ of the secondary school worked very hard and made a great effort during the correction and monitoring of grades, with all transparency and credibility, as those grades represent the true level of high school students, wishing all the students success. Following the announcement of grades, the schools will issue initial forms with students’ grades.
