Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs (MADLSA) has said that the number of job seekers who have been accepted for appointment through the national employment platform (Kawader) reached 1,051.

The applications were accepted from September 2020 until January this year. The number is expected to increase during the first quarter of this year.

“During the first quarter of this year, we expect that approximately 1,500 job seekers will be employed through the national employment platform (Kawader),” said the Ministry in a statement made in the programme “Watani Al Habib” on Qatar Radio.

The Ministry launched Kawader platform, in which all jobs available in the State of Qatar in all sectors — in government and private entities - are displayed, with the aim of providing citizens with the opportunity to obtain jobs that suit their qualifications.

In recent statement, the Ministry affirmed to continue coordination with other entities in the government and private sectors to determine the needs of national cadres and to define the specialisations required to fill jobs in the public and private sectors and to provide job opportunities for job seekers.

In August 2020, the Ministry launched “Kawader” platform that enables job seekers to learn about available jobs in the public and private sectors and provide them with job opportunities through their specializations and experiences that suit them, the Ministry said.

The Ministry said that the platform provides job seekers with registration and creating a special file that includes their CV.

Through this they can review the available jobs, apply for them, and also to follow up the process of their application.

The Ministry explained that there are direct contacts with the entities and job seekers regarding interviews without the intervention of the Ministry through the platform.

The entity notifies the job seeker of the outcome of the interview via a text message and e-mail, and in case of rejection, the reasons for rejection are clarified so that the job seeker can know the reasons.

Kawader comes as a part of the efforts taken to enhance the Ministry’s role in registering and following up on employment for jobs seekers in the public and private sectors, as the number of recruitments for 2019 reached 3,570 job seekers.
