Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it has completed 85 percent of Al Wukair Road upgrading works, with all the remaining work scheduled to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2022.
Health Centre Roundabout now changed to intersection
The repair work included converting the Health Centre Roundabout to a signalized intersection and conversion of Al Wakra Hospital Roundabout has made headway.
Muneera Al Mohannadi, Project Engineer in Roads Projects Dept in Ashghal, said that, "the remaining works include asphalt final layer, interlock works, street lighting installation, road marks and signs."
Upon completion of all works, the project will provide 4km of pedestrian walkways alongside 2km of Al Wukair Road, besides the conversion of two roundabouts into signalised intersections, and upgrading the TSE, surface, and stormwater lines.
