Al Rayyan reach Qatar Cup final after crushing El Jaish

DOHA: Ngombo Tanguy Alban and Hill Lawrence yesterday worked in tandem to help Al Rayyan reach the final of the Qatar Cup after the basketball giants crushed El Jaish 81-75. 

Ngombo scored 28 points and managed 3 assists while Lawrence poured in 22 points as Al Rayyan - coached by Koufos Stergios - set a mouthwatering final date with Al Gharafa. 
The final of the tournament will be played on Tuesday at Al Gharafa Indoor Hall. 
Abdulla Malek Salem (11), Musa Yasseen Ismail (10) and Mohamed Mohamed Hassan (10) were the other Al Rayyan players to reach the double figures. 
Al Rayyan and El Jaish were tied at 17-all at the end of the first quarter but the former champions picked up momentum in the third quarter (54-50) to underline their intentions. 
For El Jaish - coached by Dragoslav Milovanovic -Macklin Vernon Leon sparkled with 22 points and 2 assists. 
Leon saw Bell Rashad Ernest pour in 18 points while team mate Abilmona Fadi Hani managed 14 points to go along with 5 assists.
