The new executive committee that took charge at the event
Doha, Qatar: Kasaragod District Expatriate Association (KADEXA-Q) organized an Iftar meet.
The Iftar gathering held at Swad Restaurant saw participation from association members, their families, and several community leaders.
Rafiq Rahmani Cheruvathur delivered the Ramadan message.
During the meeting held after the Iftar, members took an anti-drug pledge. Rajan Kunnummal administered the pledge, followed by a message that was delivered encouraging everyone to take part in anti-drug awareness campaigns.
The new executive committee took charge with Harikumar Kanathur as President, Rajesh Pattathil as General Secretary, and Sreekumar as Treasurer.
Kanathur, in his address, stated that the organization aims to bring all expatriates from Kasaragod under one umbrella to strengthen unity and solidarity, and to engage in welfare activities.
He also stated that the association will actively take part in all awareness and resistance campaigns against alcohol and drug abuse.
General Secretary Rajesh Pattathil delivered the welcome speech, and Treasurer Sreekumar gave the vote of thanks.
Association members Biju Mathai, Moitheen Bekal, Sageer Eriya, Unni Nambiar, Sibi, Zakariya, Lukman, Suresh, Dhanesh, and Satheesh led the event.
