Doha: On its weather forecast for the weekend, Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) predicted hot weather conditions during daytime accompanied with blowing dust.
Strong wind and high sea offshore are also expected until tomorrow night. Due to this weather condition, QMD recommended all citizens and residents to avoid all marine activities during this period including free swimming, boat trips, scuba diving, free diving, surfing, fishing tours and windsurfing.
The minimum and maximum temperature during the weekend will vary between 32 degrees Celsius and 42 degrees Celsius, respectively.
On Friday, the wind is expected to blow northwesterly at 10-20 KT gusting to 26 KT inshore by daytime and will decrease to 5-15 KT by evening. Meanwhile, the wind will blow at 15-25 KT offshore decreasing to 8-18 KT by night.
On Saturday, the wind will also blow northwesterly to northeasterly at 8-18 KT gusting to 25 KT at places during daytime inshore and will gust to 21 KT offshore.
Sea heights on Friday will vary between 2-5 ft inshore falling to 1-3 ft by night and 4-8 ft offshore falling to 3-5 ft by night. On Saturday, the sea height offshore will likely vary between 1-3/4 ft inshore and 3-5/6 ft offshore.
The visibility during the weekend will mainly range between 4-9 kilometres and will be less during daytime on Friday.
