Doha, Qatar: Birla Public School (BPS), Doha, secured the second Position in the National Level Math Infinity Competition 2024, organised by Aditya World Academy in Mumbai.
The Birla Team, comprised of Masters Riaan Jigar Shah, Harsha Kovvuri, and Thaigarajan Manickam from the senior secondary level, bagged the second position in the Math Infinity Competition, an esteemed national-level platform that challenges and celebrates the mathematical acumen of students.
Outperforming 56 other competing teams, Birla Public School clinched the second position in the overall standings. The prestigious competition witnessed participation from schools across the nation, with two levels of intense competition.
The Birlites had made it to the final rounds by competing with a staggering 160 schools, showcasing their Mathematical prowess. In the subsequent final round, 56 schools competed at the highest level of Mathematical excellence, out of which the Birla team bagged the Second Position.
Infinity is the ultimate Math Championship organised annually by Aditya Birla World Academy in association with the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Since its inaugural edition in 2014, Infinity has attracted top-notch brains not only from India but also from all over the world.
With every passing year, the popularity of this enigmatic competition has been growing among students. The competition aims to develop the analytical skills and thinking abilities of students, whose value far transcends Mathematics.
This constitutes the most effective way of discovering and nurturing Mathematical talent, and it helps to promote Mathematics subject learnings.
The students were trained under the able guidance of Shibu PS, HoD Mathematics, and Shiju Mathew, Co-Ordinator of the competition at school. The school management and the Acting principal Radhika Rele congratulated the entire team for winning the prestigious award.
