Occupied Jerusalem: The Israeli occupation plans to deploy additional forces in the occupied city of Jerusalem in conjunction with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.

Israeli media reported that starting Friday, the Israeli police will deploy more than 2,000 personnel in the city, particularly around Al Aqsa Mosque.

The forces will be stationed across various areas of the city, including entrances, exits, and intersections, with the aim of hindering and delaying worshippers from reaching Al Aqsa Mosque.

This comes at a time when Israeli security agencies have advised the Israeli political leadership to impose restrictions on prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan, limiting the number of worshippers to only a few thousand.

Al Aqsa Mosque faces daily violations and incursions by settlers, under the protection of Israeli police, in an attempt to impose full control over the mosque and divide it both spatially and temporally.
