Ashghal announces temporary closure on part of Rawdat Umm Al Salam Street in Al Kharaitiyat

Doha: The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure on part of Rawdat Umm Al Salam Street and part of Wadi Al-Askar Street in Al Kharaitiyat in both directions. 

In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this closure will be implemented starting from tomorrow at 6am for a period of six days, to complete the laying of the final asphalt layer (wearing course) on the street, as part of Roads and Infrastructure in Al Kharaitiyat and Izghawa Project- Package 1.

During this closure, users of Rawdat Umm Al Salam Street heading towards Al Kharaitiyat Street will have to use Street 54, then heading towards Wadi Al Askar Street, then turn left towards Street 55 and then turn right onto Al Kharaitiyat Street.

As for road users coming from Al Kharaitiyat Street and want to use Rawdat Umm Al Salam Street, they will be required to turn right towards Street 55 and then turn right towards Wadi Al Askar Street and then turn left towards Street 54 to reach Rawdat Umm Al Salam Street, as shown on the attached map.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure. Ashghal requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
