Lusail City has announced that the Eid festival at Lusail Boulevard is extended until today. Over the past few days of Eid, the arena witnessed a massive crowd taking part in entertainment activities.

The event that commenced on the second day of Eid on April 22 saw numerous programmes including parades, stage shows and street entertainment, drone shows, big feather shows, Mickey Mouse jugglers, live music concerts, and fireworks among others.

The people gathered in the second-largest city of the country spoke to The Peninsula expressing their fun-filled moments whilst enjoying some of the best entertaining activities at the boulevard.

Samantha Regis, a first-time visitor to the Boulevard said: “I have been to other places like Katara and the (Souq) Waqif during the Eid days but couldn’t yet to Boulevard.”

“Glad the activities got extended so we could pop in here to enjoy during the weekend,” she added.

As the event commenced at the iconic spot, the programmes attracted many families and children engaging them with numerous activities. Saad, a visitor, said that “We’ve come to the Boulevard before during the World Cup last year and I and my family are looking for a good time.”

The modern city of Lusail has been bringing family-friendly entertainment to all its visitors.

“My kids have come to see the minion dance and play on the different rides here. But I have come for some music, the DJ, and of course the concert of Khadidja Mouath.”

Visitors, especially children, were amazed at the live-action minions and jugglers’ dance with the more and more people turning up every minute. Some individuals expressed their joy by saying “I felt like these characters were brought back to life. Minions are my favorite, so the moment I saw the schedule in Google, I decided to come all the way to Lusail.” Amidst the ongoing entertainment actions at the Boulevard, many stalls and kids’ activities were also installed for the visitors arriving with their families and children. “I have come here a little bit early for the children because they wanted to play here and also only a few people were there,” said a visitor.

“We wanted to click some good pictures before it’s too dark and gets crowded, but I think the time here will be good hopefully as the event here was recommended by our family friends,” they added.

Initially, Lusail City had announced that the Eid Al Fitr festivities will continue until April 27.
