Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) announced that tonight marks the first night of the fifth and brightest summer star, the star of Ziraa.

The star’s rise lasts for a period of 13 days, during which the sun is expected to shine extra bright, with an increase in humidity levels, and the persistence of intense heat. Local clouds can also develop during this time, with some of them potentially bringing rain.

Northeasterly winds are predominant during this period.
