Doha: Tickets for the Qatar Total Open 2013 are still available to buy, a Qatar Tennis Federation press release said yesterday.
This year’s event will be the 13th edition of the prestigous tournament in Doha.
Some of the biggest names in women’s tennis will be playing at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex from February 11 to 17.
This year’s line-up will include all of the world’s top 10 players including Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka, French Open winner Maria Sharapova and Wimbledon and Olympic champion Serena Williams.
The 2011 Wimbledon winner Petra Kvitova; and 2012 Doha finalist Sam Stosur will also be playing.
Tournament director, Saad Al Mohannadi said: “The Qatar Total Open is a cornerstone in the Qatar sports calendar. The event began in 2001 and the stars that have played here include legends of the game.”
He added: “As a WTA Premier 5 event, the tournament brings with it the greatest names in the sport including three past champions – Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova and Nadia Petrova – along with Venus and Serena Williams and all of the top 10 players in the game.”
Tickets are available at City Center, Landmark, Lagoona and the Khalifa International Tennis Complex. Alternatively, tickets can be bought by visiting www.qatartennis.org.
