Manila: A car plunged into a ravine in Negros Occidental province in the central Philippines, killing a 58-year-old woman and injuring seven others, police said Sunday.
Police said the accident occurred on Saturday afternoon after the vehicle fell 50 meters down a ravine while negotiating a curve in Don Salvador Benedicto town. The woman reportedly died at the scene.
Four police officers who were in the vehicle were among the injured, plus three others, including two minors.
