Sign language programme level 3 ends

DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning marked the conclusion of the level three of its sign language programme to deal with persons with hearing disabilities.
The training programme was organised by the Human Resources Department, in collaboration with Qatari Socio-cultural Centre for the Deaf from November 15 to 26.
The closing ceremony was attended by Omar Al Yafei, Director, Public Relations and Communications Department, and Jabr Abdulla Al Attiyah, Director, Human Resources Department at the ministry, and Abdullah Ibrahim Al Mulla, Chairman of the centre. Al Attiyah stressed that holding such courses is part of the attention of the ministry to the rehabilitation of customer services to facilitate interaction and communication with persons with hearing disabilities. The programme will continue until the completion of rehabilitation of customer service staff to facilitate communication with persons with hearing disability. Al Mulla said the doors of the centre are open to receive trainees.
