Doha: A cold spell will affect the country during the weekend as temperatures continuously drop to a minimum of 11-18 degrees Celsius and will potentially become less in southern and exterior areas.
The low temperature will likely be felt especially during night and early morning. The maximum temperature during this period will range between 22-26 degrees Celsius.
Fresh to strong northwesterly wind is also expected between Friday evening, December 3, until the beginning of next week, according to the weather charts of Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). The wind will blow at 12-22 KT gusting to 30 KT at times in some areas. Due to this weather condition, blowing dust and low visibility less than 3 kilometres is expected in some areas.
Sea heights will also rise and range between 4-8 ft reaching to 12 ft at some places in Qatar.
QMD urged all citizens and residents to avoid all marine activities during this period.
