Officials with children celebrating fun day at KidZania Doha.
Doha: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has held a fun day for children at KidZania Doha, in celebration of World Children’s Day.
Under the sponsorship of Qatar Airways, 52 children with hearing impairment from the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) Audiology and Balance Center, along with their parents registered with QRCS’s social assistance programmes, enjoyed the various edutainment facilities and activities.
Titled the Integrated Community, the event was attended by CEO of QRCS, Eng. Ibrahim Abdullah Al Malki; Board Member at Qatar Entertainment Company (Tasali) — the operator of KidZania Doha, Ali Abdullah Al Mutawa and Executive Director of Volunteering and Local Development Division at QRCS, Muna Fadel Al Sulaiti. The two parties honored each other for their successful bilateral cooperation in social and educational fields.

In his remarks, Eng. Al Malki thanked the management of KidZania Doha for their nice appreciation. “This is another proof of the close relations with KidZania Doha and Qatar Airways, inspired by corporate social responsibility (CSR) towards our common humanitarian and social goals,” he stated. “QRCS believes in training the young generation to practice humanitarianism, help others, and donate money and effort in an early age.”.
Eng. Al-Malki considered th partnership with KidZania as a vehicle to promote these values, by allowing children to act like volunteers who collect donated aid for those in need. According to him, QRCS pays attention to creating a generation that has the awareness and aptitude for volunteerism in the service of Qatar and humanity.
Al Mutawa said: “This event celebrates the children receiving treatment at HMC’s Audiology and Balance Center. It is co-organized by QRCS and Qatar Airways, on the occasion of World Children’s Day. It is a message that emphasizes the importance of concerted efforts from different government organizations and NGOs to support people with special needs in Qatar. Through this celebration, we look forward to establishing an inclusive approach and enhancing social integration of children with hearing loss, in light of our CSR programme.”
He expressed gratitude to Qatar Airways and QRCS for sponsoring the fun day, which was part of their humanitarian and social efforts, as a true representation of our shared belief in the significant role of various social groups in building a modern country.
