Doha: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani on Tuesday received the leader of India’s high level delegation to DIMDEX 2016, Vice Admiral Sunil Lanba, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Command of the Indian Navy.
He was accompanied by Ambassador Sanjiv Arora, Inspector General S K Goyal, Deputy Director General, Indian Coast Guard and Captain R Ravi Kumar, Defence Attache at the Indian embassy. Lanba also met Minister of State (Cabinet Rank) for Defence Affairs
H E Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah yesterday. Several issues related to defence cooperation between India and Qatar were discussed during the meeting, said an embassy statement yesterday.
The INS Beas, an indigenously designed and built Brahmaputra Class Guided Missile Frigate of the Indian Navy, is visiting Doha during Dimdex 2016.
