Doha: In a cabinet meeting chaired on Wednesday by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani at the Amiri Diwan, a decision was made to scrap the use of facemasks in closed public places, except when citizens and residents are inside health facilities or when using public transportation.

It further added that all employees and workers whose nature of work requires being in closed places and communicating with customers must wear masks during their work period.

This will take effect from tomorrow, September 1, 2022.
