Showing the evil intention of the occupational forces, Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich vowed to annex Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank. For more than a year now Israel has been bombarding and killing the people of Gaza in an attempt to wipe out the Palestinian population from the region as part of their strategy to take over the entire area. The Israeli far-right minister Smotrich said he had “instructed the director of settlement affairs in the defence ministry and the Civil Administration... to prepare the necessary infrastructure for applying sovereignty”. The State of Qatar condemned in the strongest terms the statements made by the Minister of Finance in the Israeli occupation government, that included instructions to prepare the infrastructure required to annex the occupied West Bank. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the need for the international community to strongly confront the colonial, settlement, and racist policies of the Israeli occupation, as well as its repeated violations of the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, particularly its ongoing crimes in the West Bank, including violations of religious sanctities and its schemes to Judaize Jerusalem. The statement also reiterated the urgent need for international solidarity, more than ever, to achieve the two-state solution that paves the way for a just and lasting peace in the region. The Ministry stressed that repeated Israeli statements in violation of international laws and resolutions clearly demonstrate that the occupation is the primary obstacle to any efforts for peace and stability. Israel’s horrific crimes has claimed 50,000 Palestinians, 70 percent of whom are children and women, in Gaza and other Palestinian territories. The Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that the Israeli occupation murdered at least 12,061 Palestinian students and injured at least 19,467 others, since the beginning of Israel’s genocide against the Gaza Strip and aggression against the West Bank. These figures should shake the sleeping international community awake and bring the atrocities to an immediate stop. The only way to bring peace to the Middle east region is to make Israeli forces withdraw from the occupied Palestinian territories. It is time for the whole world to come together and force Isarael to follow the UN resolutions and respect international conventions. A timeline must be put in place to make a sovereign Palestinian State a reality. Afte the mindless destruction, a large part of the Palestinian territory is destroyed, and the infrastructure remains in rubbles. A lot of effort is needed to make the place liveable again, but for this the violence must stop NOW.
