Anyone observing the recent developments in this region can easily figure out that there are war drums being beaten. The US administration has begun attempts to settle the current Gulf crisis in attempt to unify the Gulf allies which is an important step for the US efforts to put further pressure on Iran and the blockade imposed by neighbouring countries on Qatar will remain a key factor in this regard.

This is an issue raised by some US officials in order to take further steps against Iran, which has already started by the withdrawal of the US from the Iran nuclear deal signed with P5+1 countries which are the permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany.

Such attempts to bring the Gulf parties to the table of negotiation  had failed earlier, perhaps the US administration did not put enough pressure on the parties resisting to resolve the crisis and lift the siege.

However, there are issues most important for the US and interests with top priority for US as President Trump has repeatedly said that the US would not defend any country in the region and if they want to keep the US forces in Syria they have to pay for it and send their troops to the country.

According to the available information currently, perhaps the region is heading towards war which will lead to lack of security and stability which will definitely affect the future of the entire region.

The unjust siege which has completed its 11th months and will soon complete its first year, is still in place, and many observers are doubtfull about the success of the US policy against Iran and its nuclear program as long as the major allies of US in the region are engaged in their internal conflicts and a country like Qatar is under siege.

Although the current crisis has destroyed many social fabric and brotherly ties between the Gulf states, and the unity of alliances is important for the US in this turbulent region, but for the Qataris, the blockade has raised their future aspiration and they have learned lessons on how to be selfrelaint. Qatar did not impose siege against any and there was no reason for the siege, but if continued for years they will lose nothing because they have become strongly immune under the wise leadership of the country and unity of its people.
