DOHA: Jassim Al Ghazali trained Jelmud was a a runaway winner of the Al Hamla Cup, the main event of the races at the Al Rayyan race track yesterday.
Jelmud topped the 1200m dirt track race with a time of 1min 19:45secs, finishing the feature race ahead of Ben Amer, trained by Mohammed Hamad Al Attiyah at the Racing and Equestrian Club (REC).
Jockey Marvin Suerland guided Ben Amer to second spot.
In third place was Gayth - trained by A Al Qathiri and ridden by David Badel.
Jockey Gerald Avranche was the jockey to guide Jelmud to the top prize of QR45,600. The second prize was worth QR 17,6000.
