Qatar Tourism (QT) has announced the jury panel for its first-ever Iconic Limousine Design competition.
The panel consists of QT President and Qatar Airways Chairman, H E Akbar Al Baker; Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy Secretary General, H E Hassan Al Thawadi; Mowasalat (Karwa) CEO, Fahad Saad Al Qahtani; Virginia Commonwealth Uni-versity School of the Arts in Qatar Dean, Amir Berbić; and Liwan, Design Studios and Labs at Qatar Museums Director, Aisha Nasser Al Sowaidi.
The jury panel will evaluate the designs, selecting one which best reflects the competition’s themes: Qatar’s culture and her-itage, progressive future, as well as sustainability and eco-friendly vision.
The winning design will be featured on Qatar’s Iconic Limousines, adding another dimension to the visitor experience.
As the country heads into the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, QT and its partners con-tinue to work towards devel-oping unique experiences for visitors.
Through the contest, QT has engaged the community to help create an experience — celebrating the country’s cul-tural diversity and heritage. Providing a visual represen-tation of the country, the Iconic Limousine is part of QT’s strategy to introduce novel offerings rooted in service excellence.
Over 450 submissions were recorded, where 20 designs are shortlisted.
