This has seen us embark on several important initiatives in pursuit of this goal, including the establishment of a Center for Sustainable Development and a Center for Humanities and Social Science at the College of Arts and Sciences. These have served to advance the College’s mandate as a leader in interdisciplinary education and research within the university. From a wider perspective, Qatar University recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art research complex whichserves as the vehicle for promoting research excellence across all areas of the university. This demonstrates our commitment to promoting research which we see as critical for progress both nationally and within the wider region.”
