DOHA: Late nights and early mornings are likely to be foggy in some areas of the country from tomorrow until Monday morning.
According to a special weather bulletin issued by the weather bureau yesterday, increased humidity will lead to foggy or misty late nights and early mornings from tomorrow until Monday morning.
The wind will be northwesterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in intensity during the period.
The bureau said weather charts indicate that the fresh northerly winds affecting the country has weakened in intensity.
However, offshore warnings for high waves (four to six feet reaching up to seven) and high winds (reaching up to 22 knots) are still in effect for the eastern area until today noon.
Temperatures are expected to be around their regular average during this period with maximum temperatures expected to range between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius in Doha with relatively cold weather conditions at night as minimum temperatures are likely to be 15 to 18 degrees Celsius in Doha and less in open areas.
Medium-range numerical weather prediction charts indicate that the country will be affected again by fresh to strong northwesterly winds (which may at times cause dust) during the period between Monday evening and Wednesday evening.
Wind speed is expected to range between 15 and 25 knots reaching 35 knots at times, leading to an increase in sea wave heights to between six and 10 feet, at times reaching 12 feet in some places in the sea. In addition, low and medium level clouds are expected tomorrow and on Monday with chances of scattered rains.
