Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) once again affirmed that the Pfizer and BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine is approved for all people aged 16 years and above with exception to those with allergy to the ingredients of the vaccine as well as those who have severe allergic reactions to food and drug of any kind.
This reaffirmation comes in light of an image being shared on social media with incorrect information about exclusion criteria for Covid-19 vaccines. The Ministry shared the picture on Twitter and said it is not correct information.
Ministry in the post encouraged citizens and residents to call the Covid-19 helpline on 16000 for further clarifications about exclusion criteria.
"If you are contacted by PHCC and invited to a COVID-19 vaccination appointment and have concerns about the above exclusion criteria, please call the COVID-19 helpline on 16000," the Ministry stated.
