Doha: HE Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority HE Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud stated that the celebration of Qatar National Day represents a great historic occasion aimed at consolidating and strengthening the national identity and the national pride in the achievements of the wise leadership in building a state of law, institutions, well-being and comprehensive economic and social development.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of the National Day, HE said that celebrating this historic occasion aims to uphold the state's identity and value over time and to celebrate its history and how it has succeeded in achieving national unity and become a distinct country in the region and the world.
HE also underlined that celebrating this day is an expression of feelings of gratitude to the great people of Qatar who gave the best examples of unity, cohesion and solidarity for a bright future for all citizens, stressing the values of loyalty and obedience to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
HE explained that the celebration of this day represents an opportunity for young generations to be familiarized with the work of the founders of the State of Qatar, who have endured difficulties and did not spare effort to achieve the unity of their nation.
In light of these values, HE Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud said that the authority is proceeding forward to contribute to the achievement of the higher goals of the state, adding that authority focuses on working to achieve the highest level of integrity and transparency at the national level to protect the integrity of public institutions, and at the same time to place the State of Qatar in the ranks of the most transparent and integrity states in the world, inspired by the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and in the light of the pillars and visions of the country's sustainable development.
HE said that the celebration of the National Day coincides with the celebrations of the United Nations and many international organizations and countries of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which is observed annually on December 9, and in this regard, he added, the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority is working to exploit this in order to highlight and promote the Qatar's role at the regional and international levels in supporting international efforts to promote transparency and integrity and to achieve sustainable development of the countries of the region and the world.
