SEC to monitor weather

DOHA: The Supreme Education Council (SEC) will keep track of the weather and daily bulletins of the meteorology department during September-October and take steps, if required, to ensure the safety of students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
Hassan Al Mohamedi, Director, Media and Communications, SEC, said a ‘crisis and emergency committee’ will monitor the weather.
He said as of now schools are set to reopen after the summer break on September 6 for the 2015-16 academic year and staff were back yesterday. “There are no changes in the schedule of the schools as of now,” he said in remarks published by local Arabic daily Al Arab yesterday
