Al Madina Al Munawwarah: Qatar Chamber took part in the Manafea International Forum, organized by the Madinah Chamber in cooperation with the Makkah Chamber and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development ICCD under the theme "Sustainability in Serving the Guests of God."
The Chamber's delegation was led by HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani.
Qatar Chamber's delegation also participated in the 38th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development. The delegation was led by HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber and Vice President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani.
The meeting addressed various topics related to enhancing trade cooperation among Islamic countries and strengthening the role of the private sector in economic activity, contributing to increased trade exchange within the Islamic world.
The agenda included following up on the implementation of the decisions issued by the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the Islamic Chamber, adopting the report of the 69th meeting of the Finance Committee, preparing for the elections of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber for the next session 2026-2030.
During the meeting, a presentation was delivered on the development of the Islamic Chamber Academy, along with another presentation on deepening the concept of halal within the Islamic Chamber's 2026-2033 strategy. The aim is to establish an integrated halal ecosystem, transforming it into a global industry encompassing products and services.
Meanwhile, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Federation of GCC Chambers and the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The agreement was signed by the Secretary General of the FGCCC, Saleh bin Hamad Al Sharqi, and the Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber, Yousef Hassan Al Khalawi.
The agreement aims to enhance cooperation between both parties in organizing events, supporting SMEs, and encouraging innovation and digital transformation in GCC countries.
