Doha: The State of Qatar welcomed the signing of the border demarcation agreement between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan, considering it an important step towards consolidating security and stability in both countries and within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) region.
In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted the two countries' desire and commitment to resolving issues through dialogue, thus moving forward towards constructive cooperation that serves their joint interests.
The Ministry highlighted the State of Qatar's full support for all efforts aimed at resolving disputes and conflicts through peaceful means, in order to consolidate peace and security at the regional and international levels.
