Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Daraa in the Syrian Arab Republic, considering them a blatant violation of Syria's sovereignty and unity, as well as a clear breach of international law.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take immediate action to compel Israel to comply with international laws and norms and halt its repeated assaults on Syrian territory, in order to prevent further escalation and tension in the region.
The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position in support of Syria's sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity.
