DOHA: Three Saudi citizens walked 93km in three days to arrive in Qatar from their country to participate in National Day celebrations. They arrived at Darb El-Saai by sunset yesterday.
The trio are Faiz Hamadan Al Shammari, Bandar Hamad Al Anzi and Mohammad Hamadan Al Shammari. “We came to Qatar by foot to show our love and respect for the Emir and Qatari people. The journey was not easy due to cold and unstable weather but we are happy and feel proud of what we did for our beloved people in Qatar,” Faiz Hamadan Al Shammari told Al Sharq. “We began our trip from Abu Samra check-post on Tuesday morning and reached Darb El-Saai at sunset yesterday (Thursday). We walked about 93km in three days,” he added.
