Mogadishu: The Somali army announced on Thursday that several leaders of Al Qaeda-linked Al Shabaab group were killed during an aerial operation targeting the group's leaders and members in the Galguduud region of central Somalia.
In a statement, the Somali army said that the operation, carried out in collaboration with the National Intelligence and Security Agency, resulted in the elimination of several prominent figures within the group.
