Doha, Qatar: The Customs Department at Hamad International Airport has successfully foiled an attempt to smuggle Lyrica narcotic pills into the country.
According to an official statement, the operation was initiated after a customs inspector suspected a passenger’s bag upon arrival. The bag was first scanned using X-ray inspection devices, and upon conducting a thorough manual inspection, the narcotic pills were discovered secretly hidden inside air freshener containers.
Authorities confirmed that the total number of seized pills amounted to approximately 1,960.
