Dar Al Sharq’s Shopping Festival Bazaar rolls on

Qatari folklore presentations came alive at Katara Village yesterday, courtesy folk art troupe Layaly Biladna, as Dar Al Sharq celebrated Qatar National Day with grand festivities as a part of its very own Shopping Bazaar.
The programmes on National Day included, among other shows, a variety of traditional Iraqi and Shami folklore presentations, courtesy folk art troupe Layaly Biladna.
Patrons of the Shopping Bazaar were witness to folklore songs and dances on the night of December 18 which continued into December 19, the third day of the Bazaar.
The Shopping Bazaar, located in Katara Hall, gives  exhibitors the exclusivity to present customers and Katara Village visitors witness their latest products and services throughout the week.
The exhibitors include Jumbo Electronics, Gautier, Iranian Carpets Corner, Starlink, VLCC, fashion style, Logic Group and others. Accessories and apparels for men, women and children, cosmetics and beauty products, electronic items, carpets, furnishings and other household items are on display at the stalls of the exhibitors.
The Shopping Bazaar, that began on December 17, ends on December 23. The Bazaar is organised by Dar Al Sharq in collaboration with Katara Hall who assisted the publication group with the preparations needed to make the Shopping Bazaar a huge success.
Ali Wahba, Advertising Manager of Al Sharq & The Peninsula, said: “We are glad that we got the chance to entertain bazaar-goers during National Day. It was such a joyous occasion, and we wanted the celebrations to feel authentic, traditional and to inspire a sense of patriotism into our guests.”
He added: “The merriment still continues at the Shopping Bazaar for the third day. We have Middle East folklore presentations that are set to inspire and entertain our guests, and that would compliment the ambiance at Katara Village. We plan ahead so that the whole family could be entertained.”
Tadmur Trading, Qatar’s leading retailer of electronics and home appliances, has rented out a huge stall at the Shopping Bazaar.
Shady Halawa, Sales Executive at Tadmur Trading, said: “Our home appliances division provides high performance, leading-edge technology home appliances including washing machines, refrigerators, freezers, microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners from world-renowned brands.
“We are delighted to be part of the Shopping Festival Bazaar, as it presents us with an opportunity to be visible and interact with our clients. Our aim is to create value and exceed customer expectations by providing highly innovative products.”
Yet another exhibitor is Persian Carpets Corner.  Mehdi Sultani, Manager, said: “We are pleased to be part of this Shopping Bazaar. It gives us a chance to be able to connect with our clients and get introduced to Katara Village goers as well. We offer our clients the best quality Persian carpets that are world renowned and we hope that this bazaar would grant us even more visibility, as it is important to us to always be available to our clients all over Qatar.”
