Doha: The Career Services Centre at Qatar University (QU) held its ‘Employer Recognition Ceremony’, honouring companies and institutions in different sectors which collaborated with QU colleges to train or sponsor their students last year.
A total of 103 employers were presented with trophies by QU President Dr Hassan Rashid Al Derham, in the presence of QU leaders, deans, faculty and staff and representatives of local institutions from the public and private sectors.
Dr Al Derham said: “Today, we honour all companies and institutions which collaborated to support QU’s mission and vision.
“We are grateful to such institutions for supporting our students last year, offering them internship and scholarship opportunities. These institutions play a pivotal role in improving QU ranking and the quality of our students in various sectors.”
Maha Al Marri, Director of the centre, said: “Since its inception, QU is committed to building strong relationships with institutions and companies and providing students with opportunities that develop their skills and enrich their academic experience.” The Peninsula
