Doha: Qatar secured a 2-1 victory against Thailand in the second round of the ongoing U-23 International Friendly Tournament at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium in Doha yesterday.
This marks Qatar’s first win in the tournament, following a 1-1 draw with Egypt in their opening match. The team now sits at four points, boosting their chances of competing for the championship title.
This friendly tournament serves as vital preparation for the Qatar team ahead of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualifiers, scheduled for September.
The tournament also includes Croatia, Egypt, Australia, and the UAE and will continue until March 25.
