A shooter practises during the official training session for Trap events of the Qatar Open Shotgun Championship at Lusail Shooting range yesterday. The final of the women’s Trap and the qualifying rounds of the men’s trap will be held today. A record number of over 280 shooters from 37 countries are competing in the week-long championship which ends on Thursday. Several former world and Olympic champions, are competing for top honours in Double Trap, Skeet and Trap events at the championship. The list also includes shooters who have already qualified for the Rio Games. Hosts Qatar have 55 shooters competing in the men’s, women’s seniors and also in the junior categories of both boys and girls.
