Doha: Qatar has welcomed the UN resolution regarding the Libyan political agreement that was signed in the Moroccan city of Skhirat on December 17 under UN brokerage.
In a statement issued Thursday, the Foreign Ministry considered the UN decision a clear evidence of the international society's keenness on the success of the Libyan political agreement and the institutions emanating from it, stressing that Qatar will not spare an effort to do whatever it takes to support peace, security and stability in Libya.
The statement expressed Qatar's aspiration that this resolution be the basis of Libya's unity, safety, security and stability, calling on all active Libyan political factions to double their efforts in order to implement the agreement.
